There's not a way to completely hide the discussion forums from students, but anyone who is under 13 (or whose birthdate listed on the account indicates they are under 13) is restricted from posting comments. i.e. they'll still be able to view the comments, but they won't be able to post anything.

This might be a bad idea, but maybe try changing the birthdate in settings?

I am looking for this too.  Most of the comments aren't even related to the section they are posted on (Fortnite, meaning of life, etc.).  Either monitor them better or do away with them.
