Accidentally deleted account

I turned 13, so I created a new account. I then realized that my old account (which was connected to my parents account) now allows me to change some things like nickname and username. I decided to use my old account and change the nickname and username that they're exactly the same as my new account's, but KA didn't let me. So I deleted the new account, so that I could use its nickname and username. I then realized that I could still log in to my new account, but I couldn't log into my old one! I don't know if I actually deleted it or if they're both there and I mixed up the username/password. I have a lot of things on my old account I don't want to lose, please help! Is there a deadline to get it back; can I get it back through my parent's account?

Hi Saiph,

A deleted account can be recovered by logging into the account within 24 hours of requesting the deletion. So if you logged back into the new account after you tried to delete it, then this will have cancelled the deletion process.

In regards to your previous child account, you can try resetting the password via your parent's account. You can find instructions for this here: https://support.khanacademy.org/hc/en-us/articles/202260314-How-do-I-reset-my-child-s-password-

Once you're able to log into the child account, this will cancel the deletion process on that account (if you did in fact request to delete it).

If you're still unable to login to your child account, please reach out to us via a support ticket and someone from our support staff can reset the login information for you!
