What I personally used (not sure if everyone should use this) is for AP calculus I brute force went through the entire course. After that was done I would go back to any part I particularly struggled with and made sure I understood it. After that was done, I tried every test in the course to see if there was anything I did not understand. It may sound like it took a long time but it was actually faster than traditional learning.
