Hi Khan Academy!
Just sharing some feedback on Internet Safety. I love the course's design, of drawing on existing data security content with new videos from Sal. The exercises' use of in-depth case-studies anchored in real-world context is a model that inspires classrooms globally.
Sal's new style of appearing on camera where relevant, and using his signature Wacom tablet screencasts where writing is involved is amazing. Please keep this new style going, Sal!
But how about adding all the exercises from Computers and Internet's data security unit to this unit too? And will you be adding more units to the course? In that case, I do have some suggestions for the course.
Certify this on Schoolhouse.world, please! Just like the Math certifications for Khan Academy units, students can take the Unit Test for Online Data Security and reason aloud, while recording themselves and their screen on video, with such submissions being peer-reviewed for test integrity. While Science certifications will happen soonest, these are invaluable too. Would love if Khan Academy could get in touch with email@example.com for this!
Thumbnail updates are in order too! Please use this one for Internet Safety as well. Your NGSS science courses have lovely new thumbnails, and this course equally deserves the Computers and Internet course thumbnail: https://cdn.kastatic.org/genfiles/topic-icons/icons/security.png-3de9d9-128c.png
Turn on Mastery Challenges, please! I know you'll add it to all courses eventually, though it's only for Math now. But please consider turning on Mastery Challenges for Internet Safety as the first non-Math course. Students will benefit from periodic refreshers of the core capacities.
For non-US users too, enable this on My Courses and Courses drop-down and classroom tools, please! US users always get the latest version of the Courses drop-down, but I'd love if ALL Khan Academy users get this too. This is too important a course to ignore.
