Content request: Alg1 transformations of exponential functions, transformations using function notation
I am a Khan Academy Ambassador and would like to request you add some additional content to Algebra 1.
First, I'd like to request content (videos & exercises) that help students make sense of transformations of functions using function notation that works for any function.
ex) g(x) = -f(x) indicating that g(x) is f(x) reflected over the x-axis (or asymptote)
g(x) = f(x-5) indicating that g(x) is f(x) that has been horizontally shifted right 5 units
g(x) = f(x)-5 indicating that g(x) is f(x) that has been vertically shifted down 5 units
I'd also like for there to be a section in Algebra 1 that deals with exponential function transformations using the function notation above, but also in interpreting graphs and writing equations given the actual function f(x) and how it has been transformed to become g(x).
