Does anyone know how to filter or mark previously assigned work?

hi, I am tutoring my child and have a classroom set up. I go through and assign work, when completed, wanting to assign the next in the curriculum. However, I often have to have two tabs open, one to review what was assigned from 'Manage' and another on the available assignments to make sure I don't reassign the same thing. Is there some other way to do that?

I'm also frustrated that assignments don't have some unique ID number so it's easier to track down precisely what was assigned, instead of trying to match the names which can be similar.

I have great news to share with you!

Based on feedback our teachers shared with us, Khan Academy has launched a new feature that will allow you to see what content you have assigned or scheduled to your class! We know that it can be hard to keep track of all assignments, especially if you teach multiple classes, and we wanted to make it easier for you to see what content you have already assigned for that class.

The Assigned and the Scheduled indicators will appear next to the content on the Assign tab on your class page shortly after you create or schedule an assignment for the whole class or just for a few students.

The Assigned indicator will appear next to every content assigned to your student(s) enrolled in that class (including past due assignments), while the Scheduled indicator will appear next to every content that you assigned for a future date. One important thing to note is that if you delete the assignment, you’ll no longer see the Assigned indicator next to that content.

Since you have your child in a class you can use "Activity Overview" - "Skills" to assign assignments.

You can see what level they are and assign assignments from this view:

I use it with my classes all the time.
