A question regarding grading of multiple choice questions
Hi. Long time user. Big fan of the site.
Can you explain the grading system when it comes to multiple choice questions on Khan Academy? In most cases, I need to select correct number of options and answers are either right or wrong. Displayed in green for correct and red for incorrect. Pretty straightforward stuff.
However, what is the meaning of answer being marked grey with green text "correct"? It's sending me mixed signals (no pun intended). I should also note that I've only had 1-3 questions like this. They seem quite rare.
Is it supposed to signal that the answer is correct; something which I should have also selected?
• Usually I can't even submit my answer until I've selected correct number of responses. I get a notice.
• If I should have selected it, how come the answer is the exact opposite to the comment below it?
Option:
"When an antenna is transmitting (sending) a signal, incoming EM waves cause electrons in the antenna to move."
Comment below it:
"When an antenna is receiving a signal, incoming EM waves cause electrons in the antenna to move."
