Sponsorship Opportunity for the Upcoming Chemistry Competition
Dear Khan Academy:
We are beginning the process of organizing the Chemistry Olympics for 2025 on May 20th. The flyer from the previous message (via LinkedIn) is for your reference. Below is a call for the event I am sending to potential sponsors and contributors.
We are excited to announce the Chemistry Olympics in 2025, co-hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and the Northern New Jersey American Chemical Society. This event, taking place at NJIT's Newark campus, aims to inspire and recognize young scientists in chemistry while highlighting their potential to drive future progress in STEM fields. Please visit https://www.njchemistryolympics.com/ for updates on the NJCO’25 program as they become available. The overarching theme of this year’s event is “Chemistry of Microplastics and Their Environmental Impact.”
We propose a collaboration between NJIT and Khan Academy that aligns with your education and community engagement emphasis. This cooperation can enhance our mutual objective of positively influencing the community and offering students exceptional instruction. By pooling our resources and expertise, we can establish a program that significantly contributes to the community we serve.
We are contacting potential sponsors, suppliers, and publishers for an upcoming event. In 2024, over 300 high school students from New Jersey and nearby regions participated in the eight events. We expect the same or even more participants in the 37th Chemistry Olympics in 2025. The entire event is organized by the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Science (CES) at NJIT.
We offer several contribution tiers that feature Khan Academy’s logo on all promotional materials and the T-shirts of all participants as a gesture of appreciation for their generous sponsorship. These tiers also include shoutouts on social media, appearances on event posters, and public acknowledgment during the event sessions. The highest tier allows for a message from the sponsor during the Awards Ceremony. This collaboration will enhance Khan Academy's presence and visibility within academic and scientific communities.
Again, we are contemplating reserving a slot for sponsor remarks during the ceremony’s afternoon for the Platinum sponsor.
We would greatly appreciate it if Khan Academy could participate in this endeavor.
Contact me at carlos.n.pacheco@njit.edu or Dr. Peels at mieke.peels@njit.edu for any questions.
Sincerely,
Carlos Pacheco, Ph.D.
