I think you are using different symbols than I am used to here in the US.
I think you are asking about- 3 hundredths divided by 6 tenths,
- 3 divided by 6 tenths, and
- 3 tenths divided by 6.
I am not sure what other way to divide you are thinking of. I always do it by changing the comma:
0,03:0,6 = 3:60 = 1:20 = 0,05
[In US notation, that would be 0.03/0.6 = 3/60 = 1/20 = 0.05]If I think of some other way, I will let you know.

Hi samuel!
I wasn't sure what method you were thinking of, but here's a list of all the possible ways you could divide. I hope one of them rings a bell!
Shifting the Decimal (Standard Method)
This is the one you mentioned — moving the decimal point to turn the divisor into a whole number.
Example:
0.03 ÷ 0.6 → Move the decimal 1 place → becomes 0.3 ÷ 6 → = 0.05Super common in school.
Fraction Method (No Decimal Shifting)
This is the one we just did:
Write it as a fraction → 0.03 / 0.6
Multiply top and bottom by 10 or 100 to eliminate the decimals
→ 0.3 / 6 = 0.05No need to move commas, just scale both parts.
Long Division with Decimals
This is more “by-hand” style — you keep the decimals as they are and do long division like old-school:
For example:
0.3 ÷ 6You’d set it up like:
0.05
_________
6 | 0.30
Divide like normal — just careful with place values.
🤓 4. Estimation + Adjustment
Some people estimate the result, then tweak:
0.3 ÷ 6 → "Hmm, 6 fits into 0.3 about 0.05 times"
Not precise, but handy for mental math.
Just in case this wasn't really what you were looking for:
1. 0,03 : 0,6
Step-by-step:
Write it as a fraction:0,03 / 0,6
Multiply top & bottom by 10 to get rid of decimals:
(0,03 × 10) / (0,6 × 10) = 0,3 / 6
Now divide:
0,3 ÷ 6 = 0,05
✅ Answer: 0,05
2. 3 : 0,6
This one’s simple:
3 / 0,6
Multiply top & bottom by 10:(3 × 10) / (0,6 × 10) = 30 / 6 = 5
✅ Answer: 5
3. 0,3 : 6
No need to move the comma here.
Just divide directly:
0,3 ÷ 6 = 0,05
You can think: "how many times does 6 fit into 0,30?"
→ It fits 0.05 times✅ Answer: 0,05
