ok, i think that may have just been a bug thats gone now, but do i get notifications if someone makes a comment with less than 3 characters on one of my comments?

ok all the ones that werent showing before are now but can you tell me how the hiding of comments work? because ive heard that comments under three characters get hidden or something. is this true?
