SAT Practice test and real test

I wonder if anyone has the same issue: my kid has been scoring high on the full practice SAT tests and significantly lower (by 400 points) on the actual SAT test. Are the practice tests so much different than the actual SAT test? There has been only a minimum benefit for her (in terms of score increase) after months of practicing SAT on this platform.
