Why current leads voltage in a capacitor (logic)???

Hello everyone,how come at time t=o,v=0,i=max?(at a capacitor in ac)

we studied in earlier classes that there must exist a voltage to produce current .At the beginning, we can clearly see in a graph(phasor diagram of capacitor in AC) that  current is max at (t=0,v=0).
