How can I identify all the courses that use a specific video or article?
When a user posts a question on a video or article, I sometimes think they are taking one course, but they are actually taking another. For example, there is a video "Surface area of a box (cuboid)" that is both in AP®︎/College Biology (Unit 2 Lesson 2) and 6th grade math (Unit 10 Lesson 4). The discussion area is shared for all the courses that use that video (or article).
Some videos and articles are used in many different courses. For example, there is a video "Surface area of a box (cuboid)" that is both in AP®︎/College Biology (Unit 2 Lesson 2) and 6th grade math (Unit 10 Lesson 4).
The discussion area is shared for all the courses that use that video (or article -- just assume articles are included when I write "video"), and any Question posted will show up in all those courses. This can make it complicated to respond to a question if I don't know what course the learner is taking, so I don't have any idea what the previous material in the course was nor what school level the learner is at.
Given that Khan Academy relies on users volunteering their time & effort to answer the Questions, and that many Questions currently go unanswered, it would seem to be a great benefit to Khan Academy and its learners to do simple things that would make it easier for users to answer Questions.
Ideally, I'd like if Questions could be tagged with which course the learner got to the video through.
Until or unless that happens, it would help if I could at least identify all the possible courses that include the video without having to skim every likely course listing. Is there any way a user like me can tell which courses use a video? If not, is that something Khan Academy would consider adding?
