Feature Request: Grid View for Class & Student Mastery Progress
Dear Khan Academy Team,
I've appreciated the many ways of viewing student data you provide to teachers, but I've been a little disappointed how difficult it is to find any view where I can see students' progress on a exercise-by-exercise basis. The only two ways I've found are to look at an individual student's mastery page and open each unit for a summary of exercises completed, which doesn't show exercises that haven't been begun; and going to a student's learning profile from teacher view, which allows me to see and filter through their activity log and track down the lessons one at a time.
I find the color-coded grid view that is used for learners to be the most intuitive view by far, and I'm wondering why that isn't visible for each learner from the teacher end? It would be so helpful to have access to a view like this for each student, and even to see class progress mapped on a similar grid (with partially filled squares to indicate the different levels of student progress.)
I understand that most of the information presented here can be seen through other means, but it's significantly harder to interpret where the specific points of a student's or class' understanding is breaking down and needs further instruction.
This could be solved by adding a learner view, or just by adding an option for this representation of data in the teacher view.
Thank you so much!
