Individual Progress reports on course mastery goals

There used to be a facility in Progress which showed an individual's  Total grade progress as a % but even more usefully for those who run individual programs was a list of each skill within each topic, showing the level attained.

The teacher could see each individual's progress to a fine degree, eg, John had mastered "compare fractions with different denominators" but was struggling with "Order fractions" after 5 attempts.

This enabled the teacher some precision in setting individual assignments.

This seems to be no longer available and represents a severe blow to my style of teaching, i.e individual programming at different levels, different topics and different pace for each of my students in my class. I am currently working with students at levels 5, 6, 7, and 8, some slowly, some rapidly. Success is available to all, but is much more difficult for me to facilitate as  I only have the daily activity record and no overall picture of achievement as before.

Bring it back puhleez.

There's no way to get individual course mastery for just one student.  You can see each student's percentage for a specific course at the top of the progress page, and then you'll see the average for the class for each section.

However, you can see each student's progress in the class.

Go to Activity Overview and click skills.  Toggle to whichever course you want to check.  Scroll down to whichever section you want to expand.

You can expand an individual exercise and see how many students are at each level for that skill, and it will list them under it.

For activity logs for each student, especially when you don't assign anything, you can find them, but it takes a bit of a workaround.

Go to Activity Overview, select the time frame, then click on the name of one of the students.

You can see the total learning time and total minutes in exercises.  For each exercise, you can see what course it was in, the date it was done, any change in mastery level, the score and the amount of time spent in that exercise.  At the top of the page, next to the student's name, there is a toggle to easily switch between students.

I'm sorry, for my students' privacy, I'm not comfortable showing their names, and I couldn't figure out how to (quickly, while exhausted) cover them up.  These screenshots should help you figure it out, but if you need any help, just respond!

Still no Individual mastery record. none of thses suggestions fills the need. Why was this facility removed after i had used it very effectively for years? Why cannot it be returned?

I would suggest saying something in feature requests, Colin.  Please remember that KA is constantly evolving, and they're trying their best to be a resource for everyone, so sometimes they get rid of things that we need and want in order to focus on something else that everyone seems to need and want.

Thanks P Rossell and Colin for the contributions. Sounds like I have to adapt what I'm doing to fit the system better.
