Ideas for Timed Mini-Section Improvement
I am having some issues with the timed mini-sections and I'm interested in what everyone thinks. 1.) I am at the point where I want to only be taking timed mini-sections, but they are only available after the completion of 2 practice stages. 2.) When I have taken the timed reading comp. mini-sections and timed analytical reasoning mini-sections recently, I have been getting passages/games that I have already practiced.
This is an issue that has been a bit frustrating. My feedback for improvement would be to incorporate a button for each passage/game at either the top of the screen somewhere or bottom of the screen by the timer that states "I have already seen this (passage/game)." Upon clicking this button, a new passage/game would replace the passage/game and corresponding questions that one is currently looking at. If this is not feasible, I suggest at least incorporating a button at the end of the timed mini-section that allows the user to take another timed mini-section with similar questions (similar to what is already provided at the end of untimed practice sets).
My final feedback suggestion is to give the user the ability to select the difficulty of the timed mini-sections (again, similar in concept to what is already allowed for the untimed practice sets). The user could select "Basic", "Medium", "Advanced", or "Mixed"; where the "Mixed" selection randomly picks two passages/games: one passage/game that is selected from the Basic, Medium or Advanced skill levels, and the other passage/game is selected from one of the remaining two skill levels.
I believe that these alterations would help future test-takers immensely, particularly because the hardest part about the LSAT, in my opinion, is time management. Thoughts and further suggestions with regard to this topic are welcome!
