Comprehensive note taking course

Hi,
I've been using Khan Academy for 6 years and have found it incredibly useful for understanding chemistry, programming, and mathematics, though when entering college, I found I couldn't rely on the courses for keeping up in class. What I really needed was better more taking skills for condensing what I heard in class to better learn at home, But I've found more and more that there aren't many free resources that provide you with a means of learning how note taking best works for you, and I think that, if Khan academy were to provide such a course, showing different styles of notes, as well as how to pinpoint important info (perhaps even providing problems which turn note taking into a game), they'd be providing a skill that is not only pivotal for success in higher education, but also one which provides an edge in many workspaces.
