Help with specific problem...Polynomials - long division method with different variables

Hi, I was searching for videos solving problems of polynomial long division similar to one that I came across in an assignment, but I haven't found any. I'm starting to think maybe there was a typo in my assignment. The problem is (6y^3-y^2-10)÷(3x+4), is it possible to solve this problem, given the fact that the dividend and divisor have different variables? I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this, thank you!!
