how do I reset the progress on a course?

Khan Academy currently offers no way to delete progress once it’s registered on the account, and this is actually intended to avoid scenarios in which users could lose actual progress due to misuse or malfunction of any kind.

So, even if you’ve practiced that subject before, you can always redo any exercises you’ve completed and watch any videos again, or simply continue from where you’ve left, whatever works best for you!

Now, if you'd really like to start from scratch, you can always create a new account. Just note that badges, points, and your streak would not transfer from one account to another since there’s no way to merge accounts or share progress between them.

If you prefer to keep your old account as it is, there’s another more laborious method for losing mastery: getting answers deliberately wrong. This is not recommended since it will not be a true reflection of your learning path. Besides, it might take a long time if you have mastered many skills.

You might consider that if someone needs to do a "delete progress" operation, they can confirm it with a password entry. I would also like to see a "Delete Progress" feature.

I totally agree that there needs to be a delete progress option for teachers!!  My students are special ed and do not have the ability to progress past certain levels - no matter how hard they try.  Khan Rep's say that the students can retake the course, but they actually can't because it says they have a proficiency in the class.  It truly is an aggravation.  I LOVE Khan Academy but sadly will have to move on to something else for my kiddos.

It would be useful to reset. Coming back after about 5 years to brush up on maths is a bit of a pain without being able to delete progress.

What if Khan Academy added like an additional Area.

Example I already completed 3rd grade math.  I would like to complete it again from the start, a new OPTION would appear for 3rd grade math (3rd Grade +) with areas for me to master again, just for myself, and it would start from the beginning again, while keeping the original.  Additionally could change the colors, that could indicate I achieved it again.

I was able to accomplish this by deleting my entire account. I am not sure why there isn't an easier option.

I, too, would like this option. I have students who used Khan a few years ago, but need to brush up on those skills so it would be great if there was a reset option. I liked the separate area idea above as well. 

Same-it's really annoying to have to delete and rearrange your account.
