Refresh feedback: Custom prompts and search, Classroom tools, link to KA resources for help
Hi Khan Academy! Refresh is one of the best Classroom features you've launched. While intended as an icebreaker, going forward you can develop it into a powerful seminar tool for schools like the Khan World School, whose curriculum features a daily seminar.
I'd love to see a custom prompt feature in Refresh, where teachers can add in their own prompts. This may take the form of computer program spin-offs, perhaps with a shareable link to each prompt—custom or default. Similarly, more navigation in the prompts, including a search, will help. Scrolling in list view is useful, but I'd love to access the tile version of any given prompt in the list.
Classroom tools can be extended to Refresh, so teachers can assign the prompts. For custom prompts, you could also enable the ability to embed existing KA resources as reference materials. So a history discussion prompt would have links to a video or two from the World History course, for instance. Or maybe some science too for a key concept.
