New Formatting has Created Challenges for Teachers and Students
I want to start by saying I have used Khan Academy in my 6th/7th grade classroom for over 10 years and have loved it. That being said, the new formatting makes it VERY difficult for kids to redo assignments. We expect a 70% to count it as done. But as soon as they finish a skill, the only way for them to see their percentage on an old assignment is through the "history" tab. Their home screen used to be just a list of assignments and their percentage with a button to "Try again." My 6th graders have a very difficult time to find their scores and redo assignments. They have to click the drop-down "Completed" but it still wont show a score on that screen. Assigning topics for the teacher is harder too. You used to just follow by strand tied to the state/common core standards.
It is so cumbersome and click heavy for kids to find what they need weas a building are considering not using it moving forward.
