Has Khan Academy had any thoughts about revisiting the reset button issue for Unit Tests?

I understand that "We want to encourage all learners to see that getting problems wrong or not getting 100% on the first try is one of the most important parts of learning" but that does seem to missing the point.

Learners need to be encouraged to continue, not get frustrated and give up. I wonder how many students become fixated on trying to achieve a perfect score at the expense of moving on to a new subject area only to get so frustrated they eventually abandon the whole idea. How does this reconcile with "We want to encourage growth mindset and learning on our platform"?

Surely there is a balancing act that would involve the retaking of tests with encouraging people to continue learning.

I second this! Being able to see the process for for a question you didn't quite get is extremely useful, and then only to have it no longer available to you is frustrating and makes it difficult to go back on your work, you can get around it, but why make the process so obtuse and just let people study at their own pace?

I’m happy to let you know that we’ve added your reset button feedback to our roadmap of potential improvements for Khan Academy, and the possibility of adding one is something that’s being discussed further.

This is a feature we’re actively gathering feedback for, so your comments are very helpful. Please note that any changes around this feature will take time to build and we currently do not have a timeframe for when anything might be implemented.

In the meantime, we hope that you're building grit by pushing through any setbacks even when they might be frustrating.

Having to redo a course challenge because you did a simple oops is incredibly disheartening and builds resistance to the program.

I think it should be an universal option that is tracked in the learner's progress.
