Temporarily skipping questions / flagging questions for review options / teachers turn off instant marking
Hi folks,
It would be awesome if students or teachers could have the option to turn off instant grading until the end of an exercise or test. There are downsides to expecting to get a quick solution when attempting a question. What about suggestions for a student to spend more time with a question if they try to check the answer with a certain time frame? I have students who have already clicked an answer before I have even had time to read it. A prompt that says 'hey Fred... let's slow down buddy. Have you read the question carefully? Why don't you spend more time with the question?'.
Or.... when a student has clicked 'CHECK', a prompt comes up that asks them ... "Have you checked that your answer makes sense?" "Let me check again" or "How sure are you? (a) just a guess (b) 50% (c) 75% (d) 100%".
Also, an option for a student to send a question to their teacher for later help.
We want to build exam skills as well and this involves being able to flag questions completed but still not 100% certain so that a student has the option to come back and re-check at the end (they wouldn't be marked until the end) and also the feature to be able to temporarily skip questions that a student can't remember in the moment for their reattempt at the end.
I am all for more exercises to be added to KA. There is also a lot that can be done with existing exercises to promote better learning and understanding.
I find students are reluctant to watch videos. How can we get more buy in for this?
Thanks!
