Allowing new students to receive past due assignments

When I get a new student, after I have already assigned 35 assignments, I have to 're-assign' these 35 assignments.

Not only is this incredibly time-consuming and prone to errors, but it also wrecks the 'scores' view. That one student has 35 different assignments in the middle of the other students. I have to go an extra two pages to past this student. I also have to take the time out IMMEDIATELY to do this for the new student - otherwise, this new student cannot start making up the work.

Can you allow the feature of allowing new students access to past due assignments, please?

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I completely understand how frustrating that situation can be, as you have to manually re-assign the material for only one student.

YES! I have the same problem. Do I have to set up a separate section to assign activities to a late-enrolled student??

Hi Jim,

That is the solution that has worked best for me so far. I opened up a new section called "Makeup Work".

In that, I assigned all the "makeup work" to the new students.

That keeps the 'scores' view clean.

I just have to keep reminding the new students to do that work.
