Recently a user (Who will remain unnamed) has attacked me and another user for supporting LGBTQ+ people and communities. So I am making this post to say that KA needs to make some sort of announcement that KA officially allows LGBTQ+ content and forbids discrimination against that content.
By this I mean people are allowed to be openly homosexual, bisexual, and transgender on Khan Academy without breaking the guidelines. This includes that anyone who discriminates against them or faults them for these things openly through discussions or programs on KA will be in violation of the guidelines and proper action will be taken against any such discrimination.
With this I believe the guidelines should also be updated to include a section on discriminative content, so that people know that discrimination will not be tolerated on Khan Academy and is strictly forbidden. It would help keep people in check and make sure that others know that Khan is not going to tolerate discrimination against such things.
I would not have made this post if I didn't truly believe that something needs to be done and I'm not here because my feelings are hurt (They aren't lol), I'm here because KA needs to protect it's users and keep others from having to deal with anything close to what happened today.
With concern for this community,
