Correct learning order for a senior math beginner?
The last math I did was 15 years ago, and my goal is to be able to read this paper and be able to understand and implement it. I am 30 right now.
I am starting with Khan Academy and have so far done all the lessons that have to do with fractions, and now I'm planning a curriculum of the following:
- Pre-algebra
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Trigonometry
After this, I want to get into calculus, but Khan has the following calculus courses, and it's my understanding that it is good to learn algebra/geometry/trigonometry before calculus:
- Precalculus
- Differential Calculus
- Differential equations
- Integral Calculus
- AP®︎/College Calculus BC
- Calculus 1
- Calculus 2
- Multivariable calculus
I am confused which order to take these in, and which I don't need. Some people are recommending the following general end-to-end order:
- Arithmetic
- Basic geometry
- Pre-algebra
- Algebra basics
- Algebra 1
- Geometry
- Algebra 2
- AP®︎/College Statistics
- Precalculus
- Differential Calculus
- Integral Calculus
- Multivariable Calculus
