Highest and current %: Dealing with % complete when adding new content

An alternative is to add a "finished" check box to each unit when we have reached it to our satisfaction and then it just shows as finished rather than showing the percentage. Maybe I like this better actually...

This would make me happy because I tend to perfectionism but redoing unit tests over and over and over just to get 100% when I make tiny copying errors or something, wastes my time I could spend on understanding more, and makes me feel like a failure. The current unit test configuration does not encourage a growth mindset in me, it just makes me more likely to quit, and makes me sad and angry at myself - I beat myself up over small errors because I will have to spend another half hour I don't have on something that isn't teaching me more. Telling me it will encourage diligence is problematic because it assumes that the more the better, assumes perfect is a realistic goal, and assumes we have infinite time to repeat material. Counter to that, obsessively checking my work when it is already complete is holding me back from learning more, even Sal makes mistakes...often actually...like a real person..., and everyone has things to do other than one subject. (I found it really triggering one of the responses was that it will teach diligence, as though making any errors is proof you are not diligent; quite insulting).
