Add a Text to Speech feature to help users with learning disabilities

Greetings! I'm doing an instructional tech review for a course in the Mild/Mod credential program at SJSU. While your tools are a fantastic resource for teachers, especially given that they're available for free, I can't help but wonder why there still isn't a text to speech feature. Khan Academy has so much potential to give struggling students and those with learning disabilities the extra practice and visuals that they need to make progress, but a text to speech feature is a an important bridge for those students who also struggle with reading. Please consider the years of requests from this community and add this feature as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your feedback and consideration. Accessibility is one of major concerns and I am very happy you brought it up! Although we do not have a text-to-speech feature, Khan Academy can be used together with screen readers. We’ve been testing our site for accessibility with some popular screen reader/browser combinations:
JAWS for Windows with Chrome browser

VoiceOver for Mac with Safari browser

We're interested in any feedback you have about your experiences with these screen readers, so please feel free to write us with any comments or questions.

Same here. The my chromebook didn't allow for the suggested software extensions JAWS; nor does the setting for text-to-speech work with highlight text/nor the chrome vox enabled (unless I am missing something). My son is 4.5 and hasn't learned to read but can answer the math questions if I read the directions and question aloud to him. My 7 year old daughter (who can read) uses the read aloud feature in IXL every time (which now makes sense as I am now homeschooling and realizing she is an auditory learner).

Anyone with a chromebook have a workaround suggestion? My vote is an added feature within Khan :)
