Is There A Way I Can Become An Evaluator?
I'm interested in evaluating projects. I would like to volunteer to help make projects better. Is there a way I can do such a thing?
As part of our Support Community improvement project, we’re preserving inactive posts that have historical or community value and closing them to new comments. This is one of them!
If this post covers a topic that you’re interested in discussing with the community or requests a feature you’d like to see on Khan Academy, you can try to find an active post about it and add your thoughts (or feel free or create a new post if it doesn’t yet exist in the forum).
Hi Liv,
I am glad to hear that you are interested in getting involved with Khan Academy! Before you are able to evaluate projects, there are a few requirements - I can't remember them at the top of my head, but you're barred from evaluating until you meet certain requirements.
If you are interested in evaluating, bit.ly/yapep-ka is a shortened link of a YAPEP tool that is used frequently to load and evaluate the oldest projects and, if you choose to wait for several minutes, more of the recent projects that have been submitted for evaluation can be viewed.
If you've had at least two of your projects evaluated, you can join the Team Elite Evaluators, a group of programmers that evaluate each week and, as one, evaluate hundreds of projects every week. You can view them at bit.ly/team-evaluate
Lastly, if you have completed the Make it Rain project or are familiarized with the concepts used in that project, you are able to participate in the DGPE Project, a project that takes place three times a year (December, Spring, Summer) with aims to Do Great Project Evaluations. It's managed by Inger Hohler, Evan Lewis, and Chris Rennick.
I hope that you can become a part of the TEE, DGPE, or evaluate just to contribute to Khan Academy! If you do participate in one of the groups, I'll be looking forward to working with you.
If you have any further questions or concerns, I'd be happy to answer them! Just let me know by commenting in this thread and I'll get back to you soon :-)
Hello King,
I’m not really sure about evaluating right now but, in my spare time. I’ve been interested in helping others in code since; I participate in coding activities and build robots in my computer science class! Thanks for responding to my question! I'll always look forward to working with you all! 👍
