Cannot join this coach's class: cannot_modify_coaches

I'm having this same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was also having this issue today as a homeschooling parent trying to add classes for my children to join. I finally figured it out! 

Go to your parent dashboard. Click the 'Edit Settings' next to the child you want to allow to join a class. Scroll  down and check the box under Coaches that says "Can add other coaches". Once that's checked, your child should be able to join the classes you make using the class code. 

It is worth noting that you may have to take another step after you edit the "Can add other coaches" setting. If the student does not automatically see the custom class name on their dashboard make sure you have assigned assignments for that specific class.
