Tablet androin app now requires sign-in & restricts browsing of courses

Prior to 2 weeks ago you could open the android app, not sign in and view all subjects and courses that Khan Academy offers. Now you have to sign in and then choose what particular course you are interested in under "My Courses". This is incredibly frustrating as in order to go into any course you have to search through a 4 step process asking what grade you are in, what subject you want, etc. I just want it like before. Without being signed in it would save my progress and allow me to browse the course content at will.

What has changed? Who has changed this? It is terribly unproductive and makes using the app much more difficult/frustrating. Please tell me that there is a quick fix for this!
