I’m somewhat disappointed whenever I look at the Hotlist in the CP platform. It’s filled with PJS programs that are more or less pointless because PJS isn’t used in the real world. I know that PJS is taught because it’s a great starting place (I started there myself) but the HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, and SQL courses are so much better for real life. I wonder if there could be another Hotlist made.
Web design in vastly under appreciated on Khan Academy but it’s very important. If there was a Hotlist devoted to it, it’d give more motivation to users to try it out and, more importantly, it’d make it easier to look at webpages and learn from them. Without a special section for web design, too many webpages get buried under graphics and clickers (and the occasional game).
Edit: I know that this would be a big project and probably wouldn’t be even considerable within the year but it’d be really great.
