Do I need to start a petition to bring back Khan Academy features ??

I couldn’t have said it better myself! We homeschool. I specifically like being able to tell how much of math by grade has been completed. We use the percentage of the course completed to set goals so the course can be finished over the school year. The way things are, we’re flying blind! I don’t need to see the minute by minute breakdown of every little bit of minutiae!!
I also donate every month, think the content is great and tell everyone I can to use Khan. But after looking at the changes yesterday and today, I’m not sure this is a good platform for us anymore. I need to track overall progress. Seeing 1 minute spent on this or 2 minutes spent on that is useless information.

yes. start a petition. please do, will sign. seriously. Missions were the best thing about khan, every single freaking recommendation that it gives me feels right. It lookes for the holes and the related things, and just gives it to you. COURSE MASTERY DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER TO TRY. The order that it usually gives you is the only order you get, and it makes it feel wrong to go out of order. Please do the petition if you see this. If the code is a huge problem, then they should spend their time reprogramming it instead of adding snippets to an existing thing, and trying to make it fit in somehow.

I want my all of math section back. I like to randomly jump around and it's hard to do that when everything is divided into there little sections.

Can't you just ask people from the open-source community to fix your computer bugs?

Who is coming up with these ideas to change things? They are not innovations or improvements, so why are they happening?

THIS, THIS and THIS. Why change the system that worked so well? Why not implement the same system in the new codebase? Makes no sense whatsoever. The more 'commercial' KA gets (by looking at the sponsors), the more corporate it gets...the less user centric becomes. Heh, the irony.

Yeah, I loved the heatmap of skills so that we could see where we stand and do some impromptu practice on the spot if one so wishes. I also liked the activity heatmap. Why on earth was that removed too??!!

Looks like I'll just migrate to watching videos on Youtube and painstakingly making my own activity/progress bars!
