"I don't know" Option to Avoid False Positive/"Correct" Answers

An "I don't know" option on all assessments (especially larger ones/course challenges) would allow learners to conduct large scope self-assessments without guessing correctly and accidentally signaling they understand a topic that they do not.

This would better inform the already existing automated "review-guidance" feature (the feature that downgrades skills and puts sparkles by the lesson topics that need reviewing).

Thank you all for your great work! This website is making pre-requisites for a post-grad degree a possibility for me, despite having a wife, 3 kids and a full time job.

They used to have this option in mastery challenges but then removed it (as they have much other useful functionality).

You can sort of achieve the same thing by clicking through all the hints before copying in the final answer.

Yes, just as the previous poster suggested, ask for a hint. But you only have to use one hint to get the question/problem marked incorrect.

If there is no hint option available for this question, then enter what you know is an incorrect answer, if you are sure about its incorrectness.
