Who to contact about creation of new course that would help manufacturing and IT
Many manufacturers make PLCs. They are the go to industrial hardened PCs with Input and output cards that can bring in myriad of signals which can then be used by the program in the PLC. The PLCs then operate machinery. Additional Display type of programs are then available to provide Human interface into the machines and process.
I was looking on the Khan academy website to see if there is anything there that I can point the electricians and the IT people to so they can learn. I did not see anything.
The PLC manufacturers have classes available but they are expensive. What is needed is a general introduction to these devices so that a general knowledge will help the IT persons and electricians to decide if they would want to learn more. Then they can decide if they were to spend money.
