How can I send individual messages to my students? (chat within Khan Academy)

As of right now, Khan Academy does not have a feature to contact your students through the site- this has been a popular request though, so it could very well happen in the future! If you would like, you can go upvote and/or add your thoughts to this thread. That way, the team will be able to see the popularity and demand of certain features. Suggestions from the community are always welcome :) We love hearing users thoughts on how we can improve.

I'd love KA had this feature...

I also would like to email students from Khan Academy.  I'd like an easy way to remind some students to take a quiz or to repeat a quiz before the in-class exam.  Thanks. 

Being able to contact my students through KA would be awesome. Moving between e-mail and KA can be cumbersome.

Please add this feature. Some students have joined my class using a username I don't recognize and there isn't an email address linked to their account. I can see their score, but I have no idea who is doing the work.

A great improvement to Khan Academy would be the ability to email my students.

It would be the single best thing you could do for teachers.

Another great thing would be to display the students name and email.

On any screen that the Students Email appears the Students Name needs to also appear and vice versa.

I agree. I set this up for long distance learning due to Covid, but the student did not use their name and I don't know who is on. 

I have the same exact issue with some of my students.... 

Group messaging my class would be great also. Not all of my students joined during our Covid-19 shutdown. I want to email only those using Kahn but at this time can't.

I would also love to be able to contact my students directly through Khan Academy. I am teaching remotely, so I am not able to provide positive praise of verbal reinforcement as the student works through their assignments. It would be SO helpful to be able to congratulate each of them as I see that they have earned a new badge or worked very hard on an assignment.
