Time stamps on comments and Help Requests.

I notice that the system seems to want us to put a time stamp whenever we post a comment or ask for help. It isn't clear, but I presume that the time stamp you are looking for is the time that the comment or help request is being posted? Or are you looking for something else? Perhaps the time the problem occurred or something else. This could be clearer in the text that is suggesting we put in the time stamp. It should tell us what the time stamp is to be used for, or specifically what time is being requested.

But I guess what I'm wondering is if they do want us to always put down the time that we're posting the question, why doesn't the page just do that for us automatically? The system clearly knows when we make each post, because they are all marked that they were posted four minutes ago, or 4 months ago, or whatever.

I'm not sure if I should be posting a suggestion or a bug request for this or not.

Hey Mark! Thanks for reaching to us with your doubt! The time stamp is for that specific video in which your posting questions on.

Let's say for example your facing a doubt in a video or are confused what Sal Khan (or other instructor) really meant to say on that particular time, and that time is lets say at '3:16', so when you post your doubt on the discussions below this video, you mention this time stamp and ask your query. This will make your query more specific and also help users to answer your query.

And one more thing, you don't need to post time stamp on every question you ask, only whenever necessary.
