reading theory based books before or after taking calculus?

If you are interested in learning calculus, you must first learn algebraic concepts, since calculus can be thought of as an extension of algebra, mixed with concepts from trigonometry. Make sure that you are comfortable with algebraic concepts, because otherwise calculus may seem confusing; you can use the plethora of algebra exercises on Khan Academy to study, or read the books on algebra theory you mentioned. 

Yes your right syesha I have the math equiverent of a 11th grade, I am way into maths than i ever was thanks to khanacademy giveing me faith back in it, I have noticed there a books on freemathbookscentre.net iv got the link if anyone sees this and i may have typed it in wrong, I see alot of algebra books and it has alot of calculus, abstract and liner algebra topics in them wich is confusing thats why i never khow where to go, I am self teaching myself maths and if anything good comes about it great, I may one day get the money for to go to uni or college, i am more intrested in eletronics, I have allways liked to solve things and how things functioned and worked like engineering and physics, but with my mild learning disability I was bullyed in school and left with borderline grades and now I wish I could go back, my teachers and had faith in me but I was to busy listening to negativity silly me so her im back on the band wagon as we say her or i say, but if i read, watch videos do practices on maths, then science onc=e subject at a time because I know I can do it i did it with computing and technology thats why eventually it came to me, thats how i got good at it so i guess i can in maths and science, one thing i need to ask is can khan academy help me get into a college and university if i get a hight SAT scores on here, I might try for oxford or cambrige well maybe not shure yet, i might be lucky about something that might enabled me to do that one day, and why is there vector videos like univectors on pre-calculus on this site? doesn`t that belong to vector calculus section?
