KA has always used a YouTube video player to play the videos, but sometimes I would open a video to have a different video player appear. By going to the "lesson page" and clicking "Switch to full player" I could switch back to the YouTube player, which is nice, since I prefer the nicer YouTube player (sorry devs, lol).
My question is, why does this diff player even appear? It seems that unless I click "Switch to full player" it will continue to show up for any video, so I don't think it's any fallback player. Could I get an official answer on this?
I would be fine with this diff video player if it had more settings like the YouTube one has, specifically speed settings; captions (huge deal for some folks); and an actual replay button (essential button to have, honestly). The missing replay button on the non-YouTube player has been brought up before by other (frustrated) users, who can't replay a video, so it would be great if it could be added to this diff player. Below are screenshots of the two players and their replay options:
Diff one (user must click just under the play button to replay, not good design)
And this is this "different player" I'm talking about. It just needs a few adjustments and then your users wouldn't care which one they're watching the video on!
Thanks for reading, hope this gets addressed.
