Going The Extra Mile - December 2018 Evaluation Project
Not planned
In late December, after the Backlog Buster campaign, a group of students teamed up to help keep the evaluation queue at bay and hone their evaluation skills. It was the 5th DGPE holiday project, and this time 11 ordinary students rose to the challenge. We also had assistance from two former students who have passed the instructor 1 exam and a few other notable people. Unfortunately, some of the students were prevented from doing as much as they wanted to due to factors outside their control, but there will be other chances!
All in all there were 11 people who worked with us for at least an hour, most putting in several times the amount time! 505 high quality evaluations were delivered by project members during those 5 days, and the students got feedback on all their evaluations. Some non-student evaluators also received feedback on part of their evaluations or feedback.

We'd like to give special thanks to:
Admiral βetasin (peer tutor)
Bhavay Luthra (student)
Larry Serflaten (feedback on the new teaching material ahead of project)
Lin Gh. (peer tutor)
We also know that while these few DGPE students walked that extra mile to improve their skills, and made a tangible difference, 2/3 of the evaluations during the project period were still performed by many anonymous contributors. There is a large number of you doing your very best to help other students learn, and all honor to you who kept doing evaluations after the Backlog Buster campaign.
Thanks to every one of you for making KA's CS section a great place to learn from each other.
