Adult Learning here on KA and how it's changing my life
HI, my name is Marcus and I'm 45 years old. I have started a new career as an architectural acoustician after being a music composer and musician for many years. I've been broke for a couple of years with not much money to spend towards going back to school but I have tried to save as much as I could and I'm going back to school little by little now and Khan Academy has been an incredibly huge resource in filling the gaps and making me feel that it is possible to reach for this goal even though money is challenge . I've always loved architecture and the idea of taking sound and the understanding of acoustics into that Realm and tears come to my eyes in describing how much Khan Academy has been helping me rehome skills in math and science but I never gave myself a chance to be good out before. It's giving me hope that I can go into a conventional University setting these tests and show people what I'm capable of. If and when Khan Academy is able to achieve its 100 in change program and actually start to give people diplomas for what they have learned on Khan Academy Sal will truly truly change the state of education on this planet and for that I'm incredibly thankful. I have learned so much already and I continue to use this as a major influence and educational Force towards my new development and making me a smarter brighter person and Incredibly capable architectural acoustician. With an incredibly thankful heart and it tear-filled face I just want to say thank you. It is not easy starting over in the middle of your life and something like Khan Academy makes it completely possible for anyone anywhere to learn anything.
Thank you.
