Great iPad App Updates on Friday Sept. 14/14 Sept.!
I got a new version of the Khan Academy app on my iPad on Friday, September 14/14 September. I don’t know if the iPhone app is the same, so what I’m going to mention may apply only to iPads. This new version has some good stuff fixed or added:
1. When you request the sketch/scratch pad when doing exercises, you can see the problem again. (No undo tool restore, though.)
2. The exercises are sequenced with the videos and articles again. (No more grabbing my Android smartphone to see the proper sequence.)
3. For the new mastery system, the levels are now shown in the iPad app. (No more switching to the web version to see these.) The Course Challenges have not been added to the iPad version (yet), so I still have a good excuse to avoid them. The Mission Mastery system is still present for the courses that have them.
4. In another recent iPad app update, the response time for the Profile and Settings has been vastly improved, to the point where it is almost instantaneous. Sometimes it took as much as a minute to load. (But no restoration of the consecutive days counter yet.)
