Getting Ready for the New School Year

I think now is a great time to go into your Coach Account on Khan and get your classes ready for the upcoming year.  It is so easy to reuse the same Classes just by taking students out of your classes and/or placing them in other classes.  If you won't be teaching those students next year you can choose to "Stop Coaching" them or you can simply remove them from one class and add them to another if they are progressing to another class but still will have you as a teacher.  You can also just "remove" them from a class while still keeping them in your master list of students you coach.  This is also a great time to get their names into the format you prefer by clicking on "Edit Display Name" which you will see when you hover over the names of your students. 

All the things I am referring to are accessed when you go to your Coach Dashboard and click on "Classes" then choose a class and click on "Roster" and you will be able to click on Students' names (you can even choose them all!) and then choose "Remove from Class"  (You will still be coaching them but they won't be in that class anymore.)  You could also go through and choose students to "Add a Class" if you know which class they are going in to.  It really is fairly simple.  Notice that the words "Edit Display Name" appear when you hover over a single student's name.  One tip: go through and "Stop Coaching" any students who you already know you won't have next year.  This definitely makes it a shorter list of changes that you are working from.

Doing this now will take one item off your To Do list when you start the new school year!
