Missing button for variable

Is there a specific exercise or article that has this issue? I'm having a hard time reproducing the issue you are referring to, A screenshot of the issue would also be really helpful.

I ran across this, too. In an advanced course, where I needed to use e (Euler’s constant) as well as the variable x, the portion of the keyboard where a variable, e, or pi would be shown in the iPad version only holds one such item. So when both e and a variable or two different variables are needed, only one shows up there.

On the website platform and in the problems in articles on the iPad, the second variable, or e when there is also a variable, does show up, but you have to do some fancy fingerwork to get at the second one. I brought this up in a support ticket (ticket number not handy right now), but the answer I got was to use the fancy fingerwork to get at the e. Trouble is, the e is not there. I have not had a chance to reply to this answer, so the ticket has probably been closed, but I do plan to follow up with it.

My workaround was to go to the web version using Safari on my iPad.

Interesting.... Do you have any idea which exercise sets might contain a problem with this issue? I'd like to try and reproduce the issue from my end.

The ticket number from when you previously reported the issue would be helpful, then I can make sure the issue is addressed and followed-up on.

The ticket number is 201597. The exercise in which I had the problem is:

Calculus (all content, first year) -> Taking derivatives -> e^x and ln(x) derivatives -> Special derivatives quiz

Calculus (all content, first year) is a subject on its own in the iPad and Android apps. It is under World of Math on the website.

I tried working through that exercise set, and I was able to get to the e button fairly easily by holding my finger down on the x button (which then revealed the full list of variables) and then sliding my finger up to the e button. Are you able to hold down on the x button to get to the other variables? 

What was more of an issue for me though was switching between the two separate pages of the keyboard. Whenever I would swipe across the keyboard to change from the one with the number pad and the one with the trig variables one of the buttons was always registered as clicked, and so a random number or symbol was added into my answer, even though I didn't want it in there. Is this just how the app keyboard works, or am I missing something? Perhaps it works better on the iPad version with a bigger screen, but I don't own an iPad to test it out.

Finally getting around to acknowledging the response from Evan Lewis 21 days ago. I have not come across another exercise question which requires multiple letter inputs, so I haven't had a chance to look harder for the second variable. I also have not noticed a second page to the keyboard, so I will look for that the next time I get this keyboard.
