Math instruction in Spanish to be assigned by and for use in an English speaking math class
I just had a Spanish speaking student transferred to my math class because her prior teacher speaks not a word of Spanish and I speak some -- like basic conversational stuff. I'd like to manage a student account for her (in Spanish) from my English teacher account. I'd like to assign her lessons and homework in her native tongue but be able to do it from my English account.
I'll be able to look at her work in Spanish and get enough to know how she's doing and help her. But it'd be really tough is I have to have my account set to Spanish.
I'm going to try to teacher her in parallel to my main class that has English only materials by Pearson using Khan Academy and my not-terrific Spanish skills.
I will probably also work on English math vocabulary with her to help her pick up the important words, but I don't want to halt her progress in math in the meantime.
Does anyone have suggestions how best to do this?
Thanks,
Russ
