need a CUMULATIVE periodic test after every 3 units - a big gap in khan academy
Hello,
I'm a parent who has been using khanacademy for the last 3 years for both my kids.
One kid is in 11th grade, and the other is in 6th grade.
Please consider the following feedback, based on my experience using khanacademy:
(1)
A big gap (scope for improvement) I noticed in khan academy is lack of periodic tests.
For example, in Algebra-1, there are about 17 units, and students complete each unit in the given order and by the time they complete all the units in the module (Algebra-1), and when they are about to take the final course-challenge, they almost forget the contents of the units in the beginning of the module (unit-1, unit-2, etc.,).
This is different from how it's taught in regular schools / classrooms.
If you can design/schedule a periodic (CUMULATIVE) test after every 3 units, it will help in reinforcing the concepts and will help students revise and remember the concepts better.
I have been designing my own cumulative (covering ALL the units completed up to that point of time) periodic tests for both my kids and they are super effective.
Please consider adding cumulative periodic tests after every 3 units in every module.

Another related feedback:
Please consider adding revision notes at the end of every UNIT in the form of a PDF or a web-page so that students can do a quick revision of all the important concepts before attempting a cumulative periodic test.
Without revision notes students are forced to watch all the videos again, and it's not an effective use of their time.
Thank you.
