Progress streak feature
Hello KA users - I recently asked KA about a new feature that has suddenly shown up on KA -- at the moment for me -- while doing exercises. Here's the post, with a few corrections! "Is there any way to toggle off/hide/get rid of the new streak bar function that has appeared on KA? It takes up a lot of screen space, so for many exercises I'm scrolling up and down multiple times to keep referring to what's being asked. From a personal point of view, I don't think this is a useful function. It seems to be reverting back to some sort of game mechanics/UE that were a big part of KA from many years ago. (Remember the overall streak function for logging in every day? Gone...) In terms of resources spent, I would much more like to have seen new content - how about a course on Introductory Tensor Mathematics - or perhaps redo some of the earlier videos from when Sal ( a hero of mine!) was first posting. (You do have to dig, but they're there.) I can appreciate the coding that must have gone into implementing this new feature, but prowess in coding and the resulting experience do not always equal a feature that is of value. My two cents. Thanks for any assistance/feedback. KA rules!" What are your thoughts about this new feature? I would like to hear what other users have to say. For the record I have logged on to KA daily for almost 12 years. If I'm not mistaken, I had one of the highest streak numbers for logging in before that feature was phased out. Hence, my questioning, in a very grateful and respectful way, why a new streak feature is being introduced. Looking forward to your input.
