When students are doing the exercises, the grade level/course is shown on the left hand side of the screen. Is it necessary to show this information to students as I have a number of high school students who are embarrassed/deflated when seeing the grade level equivalent. May seem minor, but it does have a negative effect on students.

At the moment, there's no way to hide or edit the grade on the assignments. However, we are always working to add features that improve our site, and we love getting input from our community.
I've passed your feedback along to the team and it will be part of our conversation as we plan the future of Khan Academy.
One workaround we suggest is assigning content items from courses with more general names (Re: Algebra 1 versus Get Ready for 8th grade) since there is some overlap between skills across different courses.
