This sounds like a good feature.
You might not need it, though. Every Windows computer I've owned has had a screen reading preinstalled (I assume for blind or partially blind users) and I would not be surprised if non-Windows computers and many tablets, mp3 players, phones, and other devices did, too. Besides, no doubt there are free screen reader programs online or in the popular app stores.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that there may be ways to listen but I'm talking young kids. Other applications have a button that they can push when they need it read to them. The point is to make this easy for them to do the math. I don't want to put a road block up for them when there is the technology to make this possible.
It also would be helpful to my dyslexic and struggling readers that are older.

This is exactly what I was going to recommend. I teach kindergarten. At first I was very excited to start my class on Khan Academy, but then I realized that the students need to be able to read many of the questions. Most kg's are not reading yet. I noticed the students who do not have a supportive parent and/or a parent that speaks english at home were not using khan academy. I realized it's because most kinders can not work on it independently. For the same reason I have not been using it in class a lot. I rarely have time to sit one on one with a student and read the questions to them. I wish there was something the kids could click that would read the question aloud to them.

I would also like to see a screen reader function built into the website. I work with Special Education students and some are non-readers. I like using Khan Academy with them because they can review basic elementary skills without using a program that is designed for young students. Using the reader provided by the computer is rather clunky and reads other things on the screen, not just the questions. The computer screen reader ends up confusing our students. I would love for Khan Academy to develop more ways to make their programs even more accessible for our SpEd population.
