While working my way through trigonometry, I found there are some areas of the subject that are lacking. For example, there are barely any videos on Inverse Trigonometric Functions, Multiple-Angle Identities, or Solving Trigonometric Equations. It would be great if Sal could make videos including but not limited to those topics.
Expanded practice would also be valuable. The section on Solving advanced sinusoidal equations is described as:
Learn how to solve equations of the form a*sin(bx+c)=d or a*cos(bx+c)=d where a, b, c, and d are any number. For example, solve 5*sin(2x-1)=3.
However, Calculus learners are expected to solve problems which involve the more advanced equation form a*sin x + b*cos 2x = d. (When, for example, they are asked to optimize the distance between sinusoidal curves). There is currently no practice set for such equations in Trigonometric equations and identities or Introduction to the Pythagorean trigonometric identity. The closest is Using the trig angle addition identities, which asks learners to Find the trig values of sums of angles whose individual trig values are known. It does not ask users to apply trig angle addition identities to solve for the angle.
